Porto delle Grazie is only 2 kms from the residential area, accessible by a modern bicycle lane, and it is surrounded by a fine white sandy beach and lush vegetation.
The beach of Roccella Ionica has been awarded, for more than 15 years, with the European Blue Flag. This relevant award has also been recently given to Porto delle Grazie, the only Marina to receive it between Calabria and Sicily. This is the best demonstration of the city's and Marina's commitment to environmentally conscious tourism.
Roccella Ionica is crowned by medieval Carafa Castle, recently restored and the real symbol of the city, and it is a vibrant cultural centre. In fact, for almost 40 years, the city has hosted the Roccella Jazz Festival, well known and appreciated worldwide, and entertains its tourists with a full event calendar ranging from popular traditions to theatre, from sport to philosophy.
From the Port it is easy to go around and discover the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria and 42 towns in the area called “Locride”, each with its own traditions, cultural and natural attractions: the National Archaelogical Museum of Locri Epizefiri heart of the Magna Graecia, the Roman villa of Casignana, Gerace that is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, the Cattolica of Stilo, an example of byzantine architecture, the National Park of Aspromonte, Riace the town of welcoming, without forgetting rock-hewn churches, festivals, dances, nightclubs, baths, waterfalls and much more.
The efficient organisation of Porto delle Grazie has made possible to offer all the necessary services to host the bigger boats and super-yachts both inside the Marina and anchorage just outside.
The Marina has welcomed boats up to a length of 46 meters, and has offered its assistance to the anchorage to cruise-ships up to a length of 60 meters of the Grand Circle Cruise Line - with guest transshipment – and to numerous super-yachts up to a length of 77 meters.
The mooring of big vessels into the Marina takes place in a reserved area of the harbour and the Marina management is involved to guarantee the privacy of the guests as well as to offer touristic services upon request.
